Hello I am Andrew Edmond, an experienced and qualified yacht surveyor operating in the Solent, South West and across Europe including the Canary Islands. I offer surveys and consultancy on wooden, steel, aluminium and GRP yachts. Surveys include: Pre-purchase, Insurance, Damage, Tonnage and Valuations. Consultancy makes up a significant part of my work and covers refits, repairs or post purchase works, and solving specific issues, (eg galvanic activity, a threatening leak or calculating an onboard power set up). I have managed refits in the UK, Greece, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. Please see my website for some case studies. I am a member of IIMS and RINA. My qualifications include Dip Small Craft Surveying - IBTC (Distinction) - with additional training in wooden boat building and surveying - BBA and IBTC. I have a BSC degree and an MBA (Distinction) and I am also a qualified welder, blacksmith, RYA Yachtmaster and an experienced sailor.
